The Hokies vs. the Hoos food fight is a event where we donate to the Newport News Food Bank.

The food fight is online with the Newport News Food Bank. We donate money to the
Virginia Peninsula Foodbank online beginning on the first day of Football and we end it
on the day that VT and UVA play against each other which is November 25th .
According to the Food Bank $25 = 75 meals.  So far there has been 8 donations from UVA ($50, $25, $50, $2,500, $25 $10, $50, $25) and their amount is $2,735  and only 4 donations from VT( $50, $25, $25,$50) and our amount is $150.
